Happy Holidays!

This Christmas I had the opportunity to make a card for some friends. Their idea was to go low class and also play on the “happy holidays” greeting that can be controversial in some circles.

The final photo was a composite of four images to get perfect poses and expressions. To add to the humor and to pay homage to one of the great illustrators of our time, I gave it a more painterly look and added a Norman Rockwell signature. The works of Norman Rockwell often featured illustrations of everyday life. They did not generally include as much ambivalence and dysfunction as this parody but perhaps if he were alive today, they just might.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Steinmetz Delivery

This birth announcement photo for the Steinmetz family was stolen inspired by a Kelvin Murray photo with a similar theme. While Kelvin’s image is meant to combat human trafficking, I think the concept makes for a very whimsical birth announcement.
