Today was the biennial Archbold Fire Department open house and I was asked to take some pictures of the kids that were likely to attend. The department has some kid-sized bunker gear and thought it would be fun for the kids to get a picture of themselves all suited up. The images were printed on the department’s photo printer and handed out as fast as the printer could make the prints. All but the last few images were deleted after they were printed but I believe I took around forty pictures during the event.

Today was a fun assignment for my most loyal and important customer – my wife. The gig is typically to take pictures of the kids before they change. After some brief discussion we decided to pack up the kids and go to Wildwood Preserve for the afternoon. My Her favorite images from the afternoon are below.
The time has come once again for VBS portraits. This year I shot over 225 portraits, which included all of the staff and kids present during the first three nights of VBS.
The idea was to design a wanted poster that would work with the Avalanche Ranch theme. It was a lot more ambitious than last year’s mere 58 portraits. There was also quite a bit more design time and post processing this time but Photoshop’s actions and batch automation took the edge off of repetitive parts. The final images were printed 4×6 at a local 1-hour lab and sent home with the kids on the fourth night.
